Background

Tasked with creating a Sydney based headquarters, Proofpoint were tackling issues relating to employee growth. The current staffing solution placed employees in various coworking spaces which was costing the business $30k per month in overheads of base rent costs plus additional fees. The financial challenges combined with the expected growth of up to 50 staff was the catalyst for office space refurbishment. The company were able to select a new space in Australia Square and partnered with Amicus to achieve a corporate look and feel. Amicus were engaged to design and construct their new space, ensuring the environment suited Proofpoint’s key requirements.

Solution

Timeline was carefully managed, and the project was delivered within the agreed programme. Effective collaboration with the US based IT and AV teams ensured the ‘Go Live’ date was met. The result was a complete refresh of finishes, new workstations, office furniture, loose furniture and alterations to complement the unique office layout. The enviable harbour views are complemented by the bold yet understated colour palette, along with the minimalistic furniture selection and decor. The reinvigorated reception space and boardrooms are a hallmark of the fitout, fostering positive client interaction and enabled the company’s brand to be showcased.

Benefit

Following handover, the staff reported a greater sense of ownership over the fresh new space. The location was a major contributing factor with extensive amenities a stone’s throw away including local food, coffee, entertainment outlets and public transport access. The new work environment created a more positive staff environment, improved client interactions and management expect a retention in staff.
