Amicus Interiors has delivered the highly anticipated and stylish new creative premises for hi-tech IT based company, Rackspace. Located on Level 1, 37 Pitt Street in Sydney’s CBD the project was valued at $1.2 million. The 930 square metre space exudes a young, funky vibe with its unique and colourful interior.
Amicus worked synonymously with Rackspace on the concept of work-play balance to adapt it into a functional and engaging team atmosphere. Rackspace prides itself on its fanatical customer service culture and has used this restructure to visually symbolise its fanaticism. Taking pride of place in the office is the ultimate honour for the ‘Rackers’, the straight jacket. The jacket is housed in a specially designed ‘padded cell’ to encourage staff to extend their customer service to an uncontained level.
Employees will undoubtedly stress less in their uniquely designed break room featuring an xbox, pool table, TV/movie screen and surround sound. The functional and aesthetic elements of the office clearly identify with culture of the team as national flags are hung above desks, translucent acrylics in corporate colours give splashes of colour to workstations and a collaborative bench and high back lounges feature in the centre of the office to promote activity based working. A beach theme has been developed throughout the dining area with lime washed tables and stools, outdoor furniture and beach themed films on the glass.
