World Travel Protection

Adelaide Street, Brisbane
900 sqm

Background

Following the acquisition of World Travel Protection, Cover-More expanded into an additional floor of contiguous space in their Brisbane Head Office at 340 Adelaide Street. The brief was for a State-of-the-Art Command Centre with the addition of extra workspace to accommodate staff. The intent behind this project was to deliver a functional and exceptional space that reflects the company’s high standard values for its staff and customers.

Amicus constructed Cover-More’s original office fitout within the building in 2017 and were delighted to be invited back to Design and Construct their latest space. The tried and tested Amicus methodology was once again adopted to deliver this unique space through seamless end to end processes from initial concept to finished product.

Solution

The addition of a Command Centre presented an exciting opportunity to design a space showcasing a fresh identity through incorporating high-quality materials and strong references to corporate colours. This space is an Australian first for Cover-More and World Travel Protection.

With the project intent in mind, the concept incorporates both elements of a dynamic command centre, as well as a traditional office. The overall layout is open plan with a variety of sit to stand desk configurations, collaboration tables, a multipurpose training room, formal meeting rooms, quiet rooms, large kitchen and breakout and informal breakout areas which offers a diverse workspace for staff. Technology wasn’t missed with the large round command desk featuring integrated work points and seating another notable tech feature is the interactive ‘Tech Bar’ adjacent to the reception which functions as a concierge and waiting point, allowing visitors to test the State-of-the-Art Technology offering.

Benefit

The overall design is innovative and provides that wow factor sure to capture the interest of clients. Showcasing the latest in design and technology, the space also provides for a contemporary, inspiring and high-quality work environment for staff which encourages, collaboration, productivity and most importantly a community feel.

The new office showcases the latest in workplace AV and technology, whilst the bespoke design and layout will allow the team to collaborate and do their best work.

The ‘Hub and Spoke’ layout of the Command Centre brings medical, security, logistical and case management expertise together, designed to support customers through every step of their journey.

With local government restrictions now lifted in Brisbane, the team are ready to slowly transition back to the workplace. The Command Centre design will enhance the collaboration and productivity of the assistance work the team do each day.
