Background

Carter Grange engaged us to deliver a new office that would operate as both a commercial workplace and a space that reflects the quality of their residential offering. As builders themselves, they had a clear expectation around quality, care and delivery, the same standard their own clients experience throughout the construction process of a Carter Grange home.

The brief was to create an environment that supports the team day to day, whilst also functioning as a showroom that reflects the craftsmanship, materiality and design thinking behind their residential capability. Working closely with our interior design partner, Made For, we helped translate this vision into a refined, residential-led workplace.

Solution

Materiality plays a central role in shaping the interior. Timber joinery, stone surfaces and muted neutral finishes are used throughout, giving the office a residential feel that reflects Carter Grange’s work as home builders. These materials are also integral to the client journey, with integrated sample displays and colour palettes allowing finishes and textures to be experienced first-hand in a real setting.

As clients move through the space, they gain a clear sense of how materials translate from concept to built form, creating a more confident and personal experience as they plan their own home.

As the office builders, we approached the project with the same level of care and attention to detail that Carter Grange applies to their own work. Close collaboration with Made For and a hands-on approach on site ensured bespoke joinery, stone detailing and integrated lighting were delivered to a high standard, with design intent maintained throughout construction.
