Background

When Devcos engaged Amicus with a need for a new space, it was immediately understood that Devcos were seeking a special environment that needed to cater to a very specific set of needs. This stems from Devcos’ uniqueness as a business, requiring spaces that are dedicated to empowering their team, but also areas where clients can come in, test products and collaborate with Devcos in an immersive and engaging way.

Beyond just functionality, the vision for the new space was to create an environment that reflects Devcos’ brand identity - sophisticated, innovative, and client-focused. They needed a workspace that would facilitate creativity, enhance productivity and create a memorable experience for employees and clients.

To achieve this, Amicus collaborated with design partner MadeFor to deliver a dynamic and functional space that allows Devcos to seamlessly blend teamwork, product testing, and client collaboration in an environment tailored to their unique business needs.

Solution

In answering Devcos’ needs, an experience room was strategically devised to be the main, immediate visual impact as you enter the space. This room features bespoke, backlit shelving that allows for a unique display, highlighting their products throughout the room while blending functional showroom aesthetics with a warm, inviting ambience. The integrated lighting allows intricate design details to be seen, whilst providing a luminous backlight to showcase Devcos’ product. This experience room allows clients to interact with their products in a thoughtfully engaging environment that showcases Devcos’ capabilities while ensuring a memorable and immersive experience for their clients.

The material palette further enhances the overall space, with the combination of warm wood tones and black-framed detailing evoking an understated contemporary look. This balance of natural elements and industrial accents brings a refined, modern look that adds depth throughout space. The combination of finishes adds more depth through to the breakout space where warm beige tones and marble textures creates a calming sense of community and connectivity within the team.

Amicus’ Delivery Team were able to overcome challenges that arose where solutions were required to solve complex mechanical requirements. These challenges demanded close coordination between engineering partner - EcoBreeze, design and the delivery team, ensuring the project remained to schedule and delivered efficiently.
