Sennheiser are one of the world’s leading creators of premium quality audio technology. Tasked with transitioning their Australian headquarters away from co-location with their Sydney warehouse, the company embraced the opportunity to not just build a new, premium grade office space, but to holistically transform workplace culture in the process.
Sennheiser engaged Amicus to partner them through the transition, with our bespoke Strategy team, design partner Wool+Hay, and Amicus’ comprehensive construction delivery and management.
The new workspace is warm, inviting, and a fitting showcase of Sennheiser’s own premium technologies embedded throughout the space.

The town hall area is central to both the design and culture of the workplace. Employees enjoy barista-quality coffee throughout the day, as well as gather for presentations, celebrations, huddles, and even training. Like each of the meeting and collaboration spaces throughout the workspace, the town hall is bookable via a wall-mounted touch screen.
The new office space has been exceptionally well received by employees, with a successful shift in culture and engagement. Employees are able to co-locate around neighbourhoods, gravitating towards a “home base” for each team without the company. In practise, employees take this even further, embracing the ability to choose exactly the right space for their work at any given time — be that a standing desk, a quiet corner, or one of the many comfy armchairs.
Anecdotally, other tenants in the building can’t stop talking about the '14th floor cafe' feel of the Sennheiser workspace, and even the strongest sceptics of new styles of working have come to readily embrace the benefits, flexibility, and positive energy the new workspace delivers.
