Background

With a lease expiry imminent, market research group Forrester, were looking to relocate from their existing space to a new environment which complemented the global brand and aligned with their mission to challenge their client’s thinking and lead change. The US based organisation had previously been operating out of serviced offices and required a brighter open space and a larger footprint to grow. Amicus partnered with Wool + Hay to deliver a classy, timeless project delivered within the client’s budget and timeline constraints

Solution

With key decision makers based overseas, transparency and straight forward communication was critical in order to meet project deadlines. Amicus Project Managers were liaising with facilities teams from Boston and London running Project Control Group (PCG) meetings via teleconference. Amicus also assisted with landlord works to create an intertenancy wall which enabled the tight timeframe to be met. Early access to the comms room was built into the programme to allow the IT team to test the infrastructure prior to deployment.

The final product is a simple design fitted with eclectic feature pieces throughout the collaborative and shared zones. Neutral furniture and finishing elements are complemented by polished timber flooring. The winter garden area is populated with greenery and outdoor heating and is a central hub for staff to unwind. The design has accommodated the mixture of sales and research teams through separation and noise cancellation systems in the ceiling.

Benefit

The general staff consensus of the new space was that it felt more collaborative and purposeful. There are quiet rooms for private conversations and more opportunity to utilise breakout space and interact away from workstations. With the Sydney home base echoing greater alignment to the global brand, the new physical office space is a success contributing to the overall strategic vision of the organisation.
