Location: Auckland Airport, Auckland
Size: 2,800 sqm
Completed: 2018

Background

Amicus were engaged to deliver 3 full speculative office fitouts for Auckland Airport to lease to future tenants. The office designs were aimed at executive companies with clients who visit the Airport and the vicinity.

The design included modern finishes such as polished concrete, timber wall panelling and feature lighting.

Solution

During the design phase, Auckland Airport began leasing their vacant space on level 3 which meant that the delivery of 3 spec fitouts evolved into the delivery of one spec fitout and 3 tailored workspaces for new tenants, Qantas, ARI and Panasonic. Amicus and design partner Marchese Partners were able to fluidly adjust the delivery requirements according to the new individual fitout scopes.

At Auckland Airport, we often need to carry out office fitouts or alterations for our clients at short notice. This project was no exception with four tenancies being fitted out at the same time over 2,800 square metres of space.

It was fantastic that we were able to carry the design and construction of four tenancies across 2,800 sqm of space, simultaneously to keep disruption to a minimum and deliver a quality result in such a short timeframe. One of the advantages for us was the single point of contact to deliver all the base building works as well as the separate tenancies including the project and construction management, as well as furniture selection and procurement - Daniel Henderson - Property Development Manager, Auckland Airport.

The office designs were adjusted to the new tenant’s requirements, while still maintaining the original design themes of the spec fitout concepts. Custom timber joinery features are a common characteristic throughout all the workspaces on level 3.

Benefit

While leasing the majority of level 3 during the delivery of the project, Auckland Airport now has an executive spec office fitout to showcase to prospective tenants. In addition, it provides a space for a potential tenant looking for new office space who are restricted by tight timelines.

Amicus showed a great commitment to meeting our tight deadlines and worked really hard to deliver a quality finish. I’m happy to say that all of your hard work has paid off as our tenants are loving their new space - Daniel Henderson - Property Development Manager, Auckland Airport.

The workspace’s open working, private offices, meeting rooms, a boardroom and a breakout area with polished cement and timber features make the space a perfect selling tool.
