Positioning itself as the company of the future, French reinsurance company SCOR took advantage of their relocation to redesign their Sydney office. There was a need to design a space that promoted collaboration and individual focus, for clients and employees.
Contemplating the creation of a new appealing environment, SCOR engaged Amicus to design and construct their brand new workspace at their new CBD premises. With an understanding of SCOR’s positioning in the market, Amicus worked closely with the design partner Tom Mark Henry to create an innovative and functional office space - challenging how they work for the better.
Amicus ensured that the project ran to schedule and to budget while also maximizing the available resources. By relocating existing technology and installing new systems the ambience and functionality of the office have been greatly improved.
To accommodate an unsupervised reception area, Amicus worked hard to create a design that allowed visitors to orientate themselves quickly. The flexible boardrooms have been purposely placed to take advantage of the harbour views, easily adapting to hold private meetings or larger gatherings when required. Smaller break-out rooms provide a space for team huddles with easily connectible displays for impromptu meetings and presentations. The interiors deliver a sophisticated warmth and draw upon the elements of the site’s surroundings, combining modern materiality and form. The space is balanced with robust burgundy, green and navy hues, paired with the tan leather and dark timber veneer.
The balanced and smart design promotes collaborative working while also offering a comfortable workspace for staff and clients. The functional and versatile office successfully promotes SCOR’s growth and business evolution.
By utilising strategic planning and considerate design sensibilities, the new SCOR office is ready to adapt to the current and future changes the business will face for years to come.
