Background

As Australia's independent energy market operator, AEMO required a new workplace that would support collaboration across teams while meeting the complex operational demands of a critical national organisation.

The brief called for significantly more meeting spaces, enhanced accessibility, sophisticated acoustic treatments, advanced security and integrated AV solutions. At the same time, the workplace needed to reflect AEMO's values of accountability, collaboration and stakeholder focus, creating an environment that united teams while supporting productivity and wellbeing.

Solution

Amicus partnered closely with AEMO throughout the workplace strategy and design process, engaging employees through organisation-wide presentations, town halls and consultation sessions to ensure the workplace reflected the needs of both staff and leadership.

The new workplace was designed to encourage movement, flexibility and collaboration, with sit-stand workstations implemented throughout the office. Working alongside the client and manufacturers, Amicus developed a customised workstation solution that supported both dedicated and shared work settings, complemented by integrated power and technology across both levels of the workplace.

Purpose-built meeting spaces, enhanced acoustic performance and robust security and audiovisual solutions were seamlessly integrated to support the organisation's operational requirements while creating a modern, connected workplace experience.
