Six Degrees Executive, a leading Specialist Recruitment, Executive Search and Talent Solutions firm, recognised the need to evolve from their existing workspace on St Kilda Road to a more conducive environment that aligned with their operational dynamics. This transition was crucial to support their business operations and address the evolving trends in hybrid work environments and technologies.

Understanding the significance of a workspace tailored to their needs, Six Degrees engaged in multiple workshops with the executive team to define their requirements comprehensively. This involved a meticulous examination of how their staff functioned and how clients and candidates interacted with their space, especially focusing on the crucial front-of-house area.


To address Six Degrees' requirements and facilitate seamless operations, IA Design and ECM Engineering collaborated to conceptualise and implement a holistic solution.

The design and construction of the contemporary workspace at Six Degrees seamlessly integrates elements of corporate branding with a focus on comfort and professionalism.

  • The open breakout area is strategically positioned to maximise natural light, creating an inviting atmosphere for both employees and guests. Statement sconces elegantly diffuse light throughout the meeting and work areas, enhancing the ambiance while maintaining functionality.

    Embracing the concept of biophilic design, the office incorporates lush foliage, strategically placed to bring the outdoors inside, fostering a connection with nature. Attention to detail is evident in the layout and acoustics of the meeting rooms, where frosted glazing panels ensure maximum privacy and booking panels facilitate seamless room reservations through email calendars.

    This thoughtful approach to design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the space but also contributes to a productive and harmonious work environment for all occupants.

  • Central to this solution was the integration of workspace technology solutions delivered by our Technology team. Each enabled meeting space now features Logitech's cutting-edge Tap touchscreen, Rally Bar, Rally Camera, and Scheduler panels.

    Complementing these, peripherals such as Samsung displays were strategically incorporated into each room, ensuring optimal functionality. Moreover, the Boardroom was equipped with the Biamp's Parlé, delivering superior performance in terms of microphones, speakers, and DSP (Digital Signal Processing).

    The choice of Microsoft Teams as the video platform seamlessly integrates with Six Degrees' existing Office 365 ecosystem, enhancing connectivity and productivity.
